Embracing the Wait, Leading in the In-Between

Waiting seasons aren’t pauses. They’re preparation.

Waiting seasons are the wilderness of leadership. You feel the call. You’ve seen the vision. But the doors just… aren’t opening. I know how hard that space is.

Prophetess Carla Clark and I dug deep into what it means to lead when you’re still waiting on what you prayed for, in Season 1, Episode 16 of the Graced to Lead Podcast. It’s that space between promise and manifestation—and it’s stretching.

In my own life, I’ve had to sit in rooms where it felt like God was late. Where I saw others being promoted, published, celebrated, and I was still being processed. But the longer I waited, the more I realized: God was preparing me, not just the opportunity.

Think of a seed. You don’t see anything for a long time. But deep underground, it’s growing roots. And when it finally breaks through the soil? It doesn’t question if it belongs; it’s ready.

If God has you waiting, He’s building something worth the delay.

Here’s What I’ve Learned:

  • Don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s.

  • The silence is not punishment—it’s a sacred invitation to grow deeper.

  • Leadership isn’t about rushing. It’s about readiness.

And readiness comes from trusting God’s process, even when you don’t see progress.

You’re not falling behind. You’re falling into alignment. Keep leading, even in the in-between. There’s purpose in this pause.

With patience and promise,

Belinda
