When Leadership Feels Like Too Much

You don’t have to lead from overflow. You just have to stay connected to the Source.
Let’s be honest. Sometimes leadership feels heavy. The deadlines. The decisions. The responsibility of showing up for everyone else while your own heart is running on fumes.
In Episode 5 of Season 1 of the Graced to Lead Podcast, I shared how easy it is to keep performing while silently drowning. But God never asked you to do it all. He asked you to walk with Him - step by step, breath by breath.
I remember walking into a meeting once after crying in my car. I wiped my tears, fixed my face, and led the room. But later, God whispered, You don’t have to fake strength with Me.
That moment shifted me.
I began to ask for help. I began to rest without guilt. I started leading from a place of rhythm instead of rush.
Grace doesn’t mean easy. It means you’re never leading alone.

Here’s What I’ve Learned:
Leadership isn’t a sprint - it’s a calling that requires rhythm, not rush.
You’re allowed to need space, to take breaks, to say, “Not today.”
The weight isn’t meant to break you. It’s meant to bring you closer to the One who strengthens you.
Pause. Breathe. You are not the solution - God is.
And He’s more than capable of carrying what you cannot.
With gentleness and grace,
Belinda
